Jbeezy's Reviews

There's nothing fun about hot flashes, mood swings, memory loss and weight gain -- until now.Menopause the Musical turns the aforementioned aging woes (and others) into a hilarious comedy with four wacky characters confessing their over-the-hill experiences to the tunes of popular '50s, '60s and '70s songs. The show debuted in 2001 and has since been performed in 40 cities worldwide. In Las Vegas, the show has a rotating cast of eight different performers and two understudies, all of whom keep their audiences laughing as if we were all still in our youth.Throughout the show, the women take turns doing both solo and chorus numbers that jump between the all-too-real topics of hot flashes, Prozac and food… and they even manage to throw a sexual comment in every now and then, covering all bases. Their characters each represent a different outlook on aging based on their personalities and life experiences and leave no topic, no matter how taboo, untouched. They are an amusing and honest representation of real women enduring menopause and while we all wish that we could simply skip over that little milestone in life, see for yourself why this show has stirred up millions of laughs among women and men alike across the globe.

Frank Marino sizzles in Divas Starring Frank Marino. After starring in "La Cage" at Riviera for more than 20 years, this Vegas icon is taking audiences by storm in his new show at Imperial Palace. During the 75-minute revue, superstar female impersonators portray famous divas including Britney Spears, Cher, Madonna, Dolly Parton, Diana Ross and Beyonce. Marino stars as comic icon Joan Rivers and host of the show.Divas Starring Frank Marino opens with Lady Gaga's "Let's Dance." A female impersonator portraying Lady Gaga lip-syncs to the chart-topping hit while six attractive male back-up dancers help get the party started on stage. Wearing a short, white, patent leather dress, sparkling glasses and a blonde wig, this Lady Gaga has all the pizzazz of the real performer.Next, Marino enters to greet the audience and tell a few jokes. You won't believe what we have going on back stage, says Marino. We have Madonna, Cher and Bette Midler getting ready, and they're all shaving in the same mirror. As the show's emcee, Marino is sassy, spunky and stunning in his ever-changing wardrobe of extravagant sparkling gowns and feather boas. He puts on a different outfit between each act, bringing an international whirlwind of couture to the stage with every entrance."This damn dress is made like a cheap hotel, there's no ballroom," jokes Marino after walking on stage wearing a fitted evening gown.People watch in amazement as each new female impersonator takes the stage. Although the performers don't sing, they emulate every aspect of the divas they're impersonating from their looks to their signature moves. A high-energy soundtrack adds to their exhilarating performances. Every act features a No. 1 hit from your favorite diva including Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)," Britney Spears' "Circus" and Madonna's "Music." Some divas perform solo while other acts also feature the talented back-up dancers.Later in the show, an impersonator portraying Liza Minnelli brings audience members to their feet with his riveting performance of "New York, New York." His convincing dance moves and facial expressions make it hard to believe he's not actually singing.Throughout the show, people sing along and dance in their seats to the popular songs. Glitzy costumes, dazzling performers and a soundtrack of chart-topping hits - Divas Starring Frank Marino has it all.

Was a very good show. Entertaining and the performers were very friendly. Was a little disappointed that the main headliner, Frank Marino, wasn't there. If it had been known that he would not be there at HIS show that night, would've possibly looked at booking another night. But overall, good show

Had fun with this activity. The photo machine was down the day we went through so there was that inconvenience of having to go back the next day but overall, was a good tour.

Disappointing
PostedMay 15, 2014
This was overpriced for this tour and the description was misleading as to what the tour involved. Found out it would've been cheaper for me to have gottena rental car and driven myself on this route. The tour of the Hoover Dam was disappointing and cant' believe the SkyWalk as the West Rim was not included in this tour. So very disappointed and will definitely go on Facebook and let others know to not take this particular tour. Total waste of money

What is including in the VIP tickets? Do you get singled out and teased or is it just great seats?

The VIP tickets had you right at the stage. No one in particular was singled-out but the performers do come out into the audience and dance with people from time to time. I definitely enjoyed the show.
