It's all about location, location, location at Travelodge Center Strip. This budget hotel has a truly terrific spot smack dab in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. It's within walking distance (and we mean a matter of minutes, not a trek that requires a bottle of water and an energy bar) from several of the city's most popular resorts. Here, let's run down what you'll see in the immediate perimeter of Travelodge Center Strip (the list reads like a veritable who's who of Vegas hotels and attractions): Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino with its Miracle Mile Shops, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Aria, The Shops at Crystals, Mandarin Oriental and Monte Carlo. And the Harley-Davidson Cafe is situated right next door -- just steps away (we'd estimate 25, if you take big ones).Amenity-wise, if you book your stay at Travelodge Center Strip expecting the basics, then you'll be quite satisfied. The rooms are simple in terms of décor but still comfortable and include the two things most of us need to survive: wireless internet access and cable TV (including HBO -- so fans of "Game of Thrones," "Girls," "Veep" and "True Detective" can get their fix). There's also a coffeemaker, so caffeine addicts can happily get their fix too.Travelodge Center Strip serves a free continental breakfast daily -- consisting of cereal, Danishes, muffins, juice and coffee. There's a swimming pool near the back of property. It's small but open year-round. Parking is always free to guests. Laundry facilities are available. And you'll discover car rental and tour service desks conveniently located in the lobby. But as we said to begin with, the selling point for Travelodge Center Strip is location. For the low price, it can't be beat.

Location is the ONLY thing going for this motel
PostedMarch 29, 2014
The only thing this place has going for it is the location. We had never been to Vegas before so wanted to get the experience of staying on The Strip but really had no desire to do any gambling. This place is across the street from Planet Hollywood and Aria, Monte Carlo and Bellagio are all nearby so it had that going for it. It is low cost compared to the other hotels/motels in the area.
Unfortunately, that is where any advantages end. Our first impressions of the motel were not favorable but we figured all we wanted was a basic, clean room in which to spend a couple of nights before a tour of the UNLV campus (our main purpose for visiting Las Vegas) and this seemed to fit the bill. Over the next two nights though we came to find that it barely even fulfilled those modest requirements.
The beds were terrible. Any time either my wife or I rolled over, the other would get bounced around. The walls and door in the bathroom were covered with gashes and splinters. The bathtub had chips in the finish. The whole room was in a state of disrepair. The carpets looked clean at first glance but my socks became filthy when walking around with no shoes on.
It's true that the motel offers a free continental breakfast. The trouble is that they just took one of the rooms and put in some tables and a counter with cereal, danishes, juice and coffee. There was space for maybe 10 people to sit.
There is free wi-fi available but we had trouble keeping our devices connected. It looked like the signal strength was fine but it would just drop out unexpectedly.
What should happen is Harley Davidson should purchase the entire property along with the little shops on the same block, level the whole area and put up a decent hotel and casino in the space behind their cafe.
