The LVH – Las Vegas Hotel & Casino is one of the city's most respected resorts offering a combination of elegance and impeccable service. Located on Paradise Road, just a block from the Strip, the property is also minutes from McCarran International Airport and steps from the Las Vegas Convention Center. There's even a Las Vegas Monorail station on the premises, so guests will enjoy easy access to popular hotels and attractions on Las Vegas Boulevard. The LVH has a storied history. It has played host to an all-star lineup of entertainers -- the most revered, of course, being Elvis Presley. Serving as his Las Vegas headquarters, the King performed here in an eight-year exclusive run selling out 837 consecutive shows and entertaining an estimated 2.5 million people. Liberace also used to draw big crowds in the main showroom with his flamboyant costumes, amazing piano playing and infectious fun.Today the LVH Theatre still showcases big names, such as Liza Minelli, Don McLean and Glenn Campbell as well as "Raiding the Rock Vault," which honors the greatest rock bands in history. Plus, the Shimmer Cabaret features a variety of performers and productions. Check out Trent Carlini, a well-regarded tribute artist who pays homage to the King of Rock 'n' Roll. MO5AIC is a five-man vocal group who sound like they have a full band with them, but they only use their voices without any digital sound enhancements. Or get a does of late-night humor with Comedy After Dark.  Situated off the main casino floor, the Tempo lounge is a stylish venue that serves classic cocktails...with a twist! It's also the perfect spot to gather for pre- and post- theater drinks or to dance to a mix of '70s, '80s and '90s hits in the late-night hours. When you're feeling hungry, the LVH has several wonderful dining options. The gourmet Japanese restaurant Benihana presents exhibition-style cooking by master chefs on hibachi tables. Authentic Japanese sushi is served in Teru Sushi in Las Vegas, which is found in the same stunningly peaceful complex -- complete with waterfalls and a traditional koi pond -- that houses the Zen Bar and Lounge. The classic upscale restaurant TJ's Steakhouse straddles the sophisticated Plaza Bar. It's noted for its prime cuts and rich mahogany setting.  Vince Neil's Tatuado Restaurant & Cantina is a more lively spot to socialize over drinks (tequilas, beers and signature margaritas like the Smokin' Purple Rita) and indulge in Mexican appetizers. At The Buffet you can devour items from a spread of world cuisine for breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch. And Burger Bistro, the Paradise Café, Fortuna coffee and wine bar, and the food court are all perfect whenever you desire a quick bite.In addition, the LVH is beloved among race and sports bettors, thanks to the illustrious Superbook. This huge facility is THE place to watch a big game. With more than 350 seats, 28 giant screens and one massive 15-by-20-foot monitor, you won't miss a moment of the action. Special niche areas, like The Ultimate Fan Cave, are packed with armchairs. Patrons can always grab a drink at the Eighth Pole Bar or a sandwich at the Superbook Deli.Other amenities at LVH include a business center, a state-of-the-art cardio room, the Regis Signature Salon, tennis courts, a car rental agency, concierge services and more. There are gift, apparel and sundries shops. Drift away in bliss with one of many pampering services at The Spa. Or spend the day lounging in the sun by the third-floor pool, complete with 18 cabanas, a 25-seat Jacuzzi and the Cabana Bar. During the summer months, poolside happy hours are held in the early evenings with live entertainment. The LVH offers 3,000 well-appointed and spacious rooms, along with luxury suites and villas. All of them are equipped with wired and wireless internet access. Most boast panoramic views of the Las Vegas skyline or the surrounding valley and mountains. Among the standard amenities are ultra-soft bedding, a 37-inch plasma TV and an in-room safe. You can opt to stay in one of the Resorts Club rooms for an upgraded level of service and prestige. Among the luxuries are a plush spa robe, silky linens and access to the Resorts Club lounge on the 24th floor, where you'll receive complimentary breakfasts, fresh-baked cookies and snacks as well as be treated to evening wine and cheese receptions.Convention facilities are also top-notch at the LVH. Along with the Paradise Event Center, providing 70,000 square feet of space, there is a stunning 35,000-square-foot ballroom and nearly 10,000 square feet of combined meeting space. Plus, couples who are interested in tying the knot will find a lovely and intimate wedding chapel, Chapelle de l'Amour, at the property.Whether traveling for business or pleasure, the LVH is an ideal hotel that stands as a beacon of history, elegance and service in Las Vegas.-- By Renée LiButti

Great location if you want to see fireworks and want to be near the strip.
PostedJuly 8, 2013
My family stayed here for 4th of July. It was close to the strip, but not within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. I had to ask for certain amenities, but overall it was great.

Although it may seem preposterous, some hotels in Las Vegas are geared to kids -- like Circus Circus, which is located at the northern end of the Strip. Book a room here and the whole family will be able to embark on a flight of fancy.Start your adventure at The Adventuredome, a five-acre theme park situated beneath a climate-controlled dome covered with pink glass. It contains at least 25 unique rides. The brave at heart can hop on the Canyon Blaster, a double-loop, double-corkscrew roller coaster. The younger set is sure to enjoy Miner Mike, a runaway coal train, or the Thunderbirds, a squadron of not-so-high-flying 1920s-style airplanes. Plus, several virtual reality film rides are broadcast in the FX Theatre, including "SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D" and "Happy Feet: Mumble's Wild Ride 4-D," for all ages. The Adventuredome has recently added a new roller coaster -- El Loco. After a 90-foot ascent, the 72-second ride offers negative G drops, gravity-defying turns and over-the-edge twists.Parents looking for more adult-oriented pastimes can play slots in the nearby Skyrise Casino or head downstairs to the main casino floor, where there is race and sports book, more than 40 table games (note: free lessons in poker, blackjack, roulette and craps are offered daily) and more than 1,500 of the latest slot and video poker machines.Ironically, situated above is the famed Circus Circus Midway, where you can win stuffed animals and other toys by trying your luck at one of more than 200 popular carnival games. In the center of all the action is the Midway Stage, home to free live circus acts featuring performers from around the world. Shows run every half hour from early afternoon until late at night. You'll actually encounter clownin' around everywhere on the property. Since opening in 1968, Circus Circus has presented roving clowns and other beloved circus acts not only on stages in the Midway and The Adventuredome, but also wandering the floor space throughout both facilities -- this includes the lobby, the shopping promenade and other gathering spots. Clowns are like ambassadors at Circus Circus. In addition to their merrymaking, they answer questions, give directions and make any waits in line pass by enjoyably. When it's time to eat, you'll find something for everyone at this resort -- from quick snacks to full-service restaurants and the massive Circus Buffet. The gourmet dining room, THE Steak House, has long been acclaimed for its perfectly prepared prime cuts of meat cooked on a mesquite charcoal broiler. The Garden Grill serves a menu of American favorites, and the Pizzeria is a whimsical spot for freshly baked pizza with an array of tempting toppings. Pick up a sweet treat at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, an overstuffed sandwich at the Westside Deli or a bagel and a cup of joe at Barista. And don't miss the most enchanting eatery on the premises -- a snack bar in the Midway designed to resemble a carousel. It rotates high above the casino floor -- and the gelato is simply divine!Rock 'n' roll legend Vince Neil has opened two party-oriented venues at Circus Circus. Circus Circus is great for the kids...
PostedJuly 8, 2012
I was truly surprised by how much this casino catered to my kids. We were there for the fourth of July, and I had never considered taking the kids to Vegas before. They had plenty of activities for the kids, and we were relaxed the whole time. Now, we are planning to come back with the kids next year during the same holiday.

how much is the all day ticket for the Adventure Dome?

We paid for one adult and two children and it was $61.50. The kids had a great time though. It is worth it if you spend the day there.

How much do they charge for the buffet?

We paid $42 for two adults and one child. Sorry to say we went for late lunch and it was horrible. Try dinner or breakfast. It was not what we expected. The Garden Grill was better.
