Terry Fator may just be the greatest illusionist on the Las Vegas Strip, but you'll never see him perform any magic tricks. He amazes audiences by singing like famous entertainers from Elvis to Cher without moving his lips, and that's not all. Along with being a singer and a celebrity impressionist, Fator is a puppeteer. His face may not move much during his show, but his hands are always in action, bringing to life his cast of lovable puppet co-stars.The puppets each have their own comical personalities and music style, which makes Fator's show feel like both a concert and a stand-up comedy routine. There's Winston, the impersonating turtle; Walter T. Airdale; Maynard Thompkins, the World's Greatest Elvis Impersonator; Emma Taylor, the little girl with the big voice; Duggie Scott Walker, the annoying neighbor; Julius, the soul singer; Monty Carlo, the lounge singer; Hyphen, the delusional British rocker; Vikki, the cougar; Barry Fabulous, a flamboyant hip-hop diva; and Wrex, the safety expert. When the puppets aren't singing, they're sharing their comedic wit with Fator and the audience. All the while, if you really pay attention, you get the chance to hear something remarkable. Fator's vocal range extends from Etta James' "At Last," to Garth Brooks' "Friends In Low Places." The appreciation for his talent runs even deeper when he performs both parts of two duets. He does Sonny and Cher's "I Got You Babe," and "What A Wonderful World," as Kermit the Frog (with Winston) and Louis Armstrong.Combine that range of musical samplings and add in that Fator never opens his mouth more than half an inch during the songs unless he's taking a breath or, on the rare occasion, singing a song as himself. To call Terry Fator a master of puppets would be an under appreciation for his show and talents. But to call him the best singer on the Strip, who doesn't open his mouth more than half an inch, while using puppets and providing endless comedy might be more accurate. Unfortunately, that's really hard to fit on a billboard.A multitalented performer, Fator got his big break when he won NBC's "America's Got Talent" in 2007. Fator won $1 million and a gig to perform on the Strip. He started out as a headliner at the Las Vegas Hilton, which is now LVH - Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, and later moved to The Mirage. Since 2008 hundreds of thousands of tourists have seen Fator's show. Aside from Vegas, Fator has been featured on "The Today Show," "The Oprah Winfrey Show," "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and "The Late Show with David Letterman."-- Staff Report

Terry Fator was the best show we saw in Vegas!
PostedJanuary 4, 2014
Terry Fator is excellent. He's personable, talented and funny. He made me laugh and cry during the show. He's such a kind hearted person and his success has not gone to his head. I was thrilled with the show.

Check out a photo of The Signature at MGM Grand. Take a good, long, hard gander at it. This is what a sophisticated Vegas getaway looks like.Soaring 38 stories high, these three graceful towers stand like giant gold exclamation marks near the massive 5,044-room MGM Grand. However, The Signature isn't the kind of place that lingers in the shadow of a megaresort. Showcasing its own bold style, it offers a vacation experience to be envied.Of course, if you stay in any of The Signature's three identical towers, you'll have access to all of the nonstop excitement and entertainment at MGM Grand...just with a little breathing room.It typically takes less than 10 minutes to walk from the farthest Signature tower to MGM Grand. The towers are all linked together and connected to the mega resort via moving walkways. But we digress...let's get back to what can you expect while at The Signature. It's a nongaming, nonsmoking, all-suite resort. That means there'll be no noisy slot machines and no clouds of smoke hovering about. And the staff will bend over backwards to assist you.The accommodations are condo-style with either one or two bedrooms and small kitchens. Most of the suites offer private balconies. You'll have incredible views of either the Las Vegas Strip or the surrounding valley (and from some suites you can actually watch the planes take off and land at McCarran International Airport). Each tower has its own heated outdoor pool -- and as a guest of The Signature, you can swim at the Grand Pool too. You'll find a gift shop, a Starbucks and The Lounge, a swanky place to enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail, in the first tower. The first and third towers contain fitness centers. The second tower is home to a deli called Delights that serves a lot more than sandwiches (you can get a good skillet scramble for breakfast or one of several different pastas for dinner). Then again, The Signature boasts such an incredible in-suite dining menu, you may not want to go out to eat. Available around the clock, it features items for breakfast, lunch and dinner, appetizers, snacks and desserts as well as bar selections. You can even request a box of handmade chocolate truffles or an artisan cheese spread be delivered. And, as mentioned earlier, anything that The Signature doesn't have, MGM Grand does. With the additional dining, entertainment, nightlife and shopping opportunities just a short stroll away, The Signature offers the best of two worlds: luxurious accommodations fit for a VIP combined with all the action of Sin City. This a place to stay that doesn't feel like Vegas, except when you want it to.

Nice Rooms, long walk to get anywhere
PostedJanuary 4, 2014
The rooms are beautiful. It's a very long walk to get to the strip or the MGM. The restaurants in the MGM are very good and the shopping is decent.

Elara, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club hotel is a sophisticated, 52-story tower situated in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. It offers numerous ways to unwind while keeping you in the midst of all the action -- because it's connected to the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino from inside the Miracle Mile Shops. Among the striking features about Elara are the floor-to-ceiling windows spanning the long lobby, allowing natural daylight to pour in and providing a generous view of the property's private pool, bar and 32 cabanas. Original oil paintings and pop art cover the walls. Red and white glass-sculpted light fixtures hang from the ceiling, and columns with color-changing LED lights fill the registration area. There is also a bar, plenty of seating and a sundries shop in the lobby.Relaxation, luxury and convenience are the keys to the suites at Elara. All of them are decorated with Hollywood-inspired art, like snapshots of the famed Hollywood sign and paintings of Marilyn Monroe, and contain red leather couches, inviting king-sized beds and jetted tubs. The one-bedroom suites also come with a full kitchen and a combined washer and dryer -- plus, they can be transformed to offer a true theater experience. A short escalator ride up from the lobby, past a waterfall feature, guests will find the meeting space. Take the elevator down from the lobby, and you will be greeted by Elara's private valet. And remember, any time you decide to step it up a notch, you're just a hop, skip and a jump from the numerous dining, entertainment, shopping, pampering and gaming options of the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino (including more than 25 restaurants, 12 different shows, three nightclub and the 170 specialty stores that make up the Miracle Mile Shops) -- and, of course, the world-famous Las Vegas Strip is just outside the Elara's door.
