Location, location, location. If that's what you're looking for in a hotel, then Harrah's is for you.The hotel is pretty much dead center on the Las Vegas Strip. Walk across the street and see all the attractions at Caesars Palace and The Mirage. Head next door and you’ll be at The LINQ Promenade, which features shops, restaurants and The High Roller, the world’s largest observation wheel. (Hint: If you really like looking at the massive observation wheel, book one of the High Roller view rooms at Harrah's.)Convenience is also key at Harrah's. It’s home to a Las Vegas Monorail station, which means you can easily access all parts of the Strip, and it provides free shuttles to the nearby Rio hotel. With all of the fun going on at Harrah's, chances are you might not want to travel too far from the hotel though.Harrah's is home to Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill, where you can find live country music and dancing to go along with your fried bologna sandwich.Do your best Billy Joel impersonation and sing along with the crowd at the Twins Dueling Pianos show at Piano Bar. Or take the mic yourself for TJ's Karaoke Party. Just be aware that what happens here might end up on You Tube.Head outside and follow the sounds of raucous partying to Carnaval Court where you'll find flair bartenders, live music and lots and lots of creative cocktails. When you work up an appetite, Harrah's has plenty of ways to satisfy it. KGB: Kerry's Gourmet Burgers features the culinary genius of celebrity chef Kerry Simon in a funky Russian atmosphere. That means not only do they have amazing burgers, they have vodka too. And don't even think about leaving without having a Captain Crunch milkshake.Want to impress your date? Take them to Ruth's Chris Steak House, which has unparalleled views of the Strip and signature cuts of USDA Prime steak, broiled in an 1,800-degree oven. The 24-hour Fulton Street Food Hall also offers a ton of options ranging from indulgent bakery-fresh pastries to homemade soups, artisanal sandwiches, made-to-order sushi and seven different types of pizzas.Entertainment is always on the menu at Harrah's as well. Since 2000, magician Mac King has been mystifying as well as cracking up audiences of all ages in the afternoons. If you'd prefer to be keeled over in laughter in the evenings, get tickets to see "Menopause The Musical", Improv Comedy Club or Rita Rudner. And you can rock out to "Million Dollar Quartet," the hit Broadway musical about the night Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley performed together at Sun Records Studio. No Vegas resort would be complete without a casino and Harrah's has 87,000 square feet of gaming fun. You'll find video poker, slots, table games and more. Before you gamble, just be sure to find "The Greenbacks" and take a photo with them for good luck. Trust us, you can't miss the statue of gaudily-dressed tourists Winnie and Buck along with their dog Chip. They're dripping in all the cash they just won and hopefully you will be too.

Harrahs has pros and cons like anything
PostedJune 9, 2013
I half enjoyed Harrahs and the other part I did not. I paid resort fees I never even used once. It should be an options. I will advise you if you want pay extra for a mediocre hotel then purchase rooms here but if you do not mind the location and price then put your money into this hotel in hopes of getting a nice room with helpful house keeping.
Pros :
1.Had an amazing view saw Treasure Island and the Venetian outside my window.
2.Room was nice not moldy
3.Had a Starbucks inside, outside next door was a Chipotle, McDonalds, Fat Tuesday, NY Pizza, Dennys and Panda Express
4. Nice stores
5. Right across the street from the mall
6. Location
Cons:
1. Bad house keeping she did a half job from making the bed to vacuuming the floor.
2.Long lines to check had to wait until 5 pm to check in.
3. HIDDEN FEES which they charged me when I got there, Extra $60 added to the bill.
4. I spent all that extra money (Resort fees )and did not even get free breakfast
5 Pool was small and warm

You know that friend who’s really afraid of heights? Stratosphere is probably not the place to take them. But once you’ve ditched them in the casino, at the Level 8 Pool or the Tower Pizzeria & Creamery, let yourself enjoy the ride up to the biggest attraction at Stratosphere. At 1,149 feet, the Stratosphere Tower makes every other structure in the city awkwardly explain that they’re just cold or nervous. Since it extends to such a great height, it's visible from nearly every vantage point in Las Vegas. But those sights are nothing compared to the view from the top. In less than 40 seconds, high-speed elevators pull you upward like you’re already on a thrill ride. You can’t see out, which is probably a good thing since you wouldn’t want to be stuck in an elevator with the one person who couldn’t handle it. But thanks to the attentive and explanatory elevator operators, you’ll have plenty of information to take your mind off the fact that you’re shooting upward at 25 ft/s. (Yeah, we did math.)Once you get to the top, you’ve got lots of options depending on how intense you are. If you’re quite calm, Top of the World restaurant, one of Las Vegas' premier gourmet rooms serves sophisticated cuisine impeccably paired with wine and complemented by a 360-degree view of the city. The floor actually makes a complete rotation every 80 minutes. The place is so romantic they even offer special Proposal Packages. And for casual people who enjoy a cocktail, Level 107 Lounge overlooks Top of the World and Air Bar is literally the highest bar in Vegas. For people just slightly more daring, the Observation Deck offers indoor and outdoor viewing of Fabulous Las Vegas and is the perfect place to sit and wait for the friends you politely refer to as “adventurous” as they enjoy themselves. For some reason Stratosphere decided, “Hey, let’s put thrill rides on top of the tallest structure in the city. That’s a good idea.” So that’s exactly what they did. And it’s totally a good idea. There are currently four ways to test your resolve: X-Scream (A teeter totter that gets its jollies by dangling people off a building), Big Shot (A ride that takes you even higher into the air then drops you harder than a dubstep DJ drops the beat), Insanity (Like your childhood merry-go-round if it were jacked up on Four Loco and Spike TV), and SkyJump (It’s just jumping off the top of the building and trusting a cable to slow you down--because parachutes are for babies). We could give you warnings about trying these, but we can already tell that if you’re the type of person who’s already excited then nothing will talk you out of the ride. And you’re also probably the type of person whose main reason for not wanting to die is the fear of your family going through your stuff. But for the rest of who have self-control and a healthy fear response, Stratosphere also has more grounded appeal."Pin Up" is a sexy and sultry stage show starting Claire Sinclair and was choreographed by Lacey Schwimmer of "Dancing with the Stars." The Michael Jackson tribute show "MJ Live" also plays at the Stratosphere. Fellini's Ristorante Italiano Preparing excellent pasta and other Italian delights. Singing for your supper is all the rage at Roxy's Diner as the wait staff in this nostalgic restaurant often put on a show to accompany their old-fashioned home cooking. And McCall's Heartland Grill has a hearty mix of steak and seafood in a Midwestern-style restaurant.Add to all that The Buffet, the pool with poolside café, Roni Josef International Salon & Spa and Tower Shops with 32 stores that replicate street scenes from iconic shopping cities like Paris and New York and you can see that Stratosphere is much more than a tower. That said, the tower is still pretty awesome.Stratosphere is close enough that you can catch a cab or shuttle to the rest of the Strip (we don't recommend walking), when you’re finished surveying it from the observation deck of course. And complete enough that you won’t have to leave if you don’t want to. It may not be for the acrophobic, but Stratosphere, with everything it has to offer and the heights it reaches, is definitely for the people who want to push themselves a little and look over the edge at least once during their Vegas vacation.

Stratosphere Stay
PostedJune 23, 2012
Vegas.com gave me and my bf very accurate information on the hotel we stayed at. They even took care of some of the hotel fees which saved me enough money to upgrade to a better room with a jacuzzi tub. From now on I will use Vegas.com as my primary source to finding hotels when I visit Vegas,Nevada and other places. I highly recommend this website.

Does every room have a balcony?

Do all of the classic rooms in Harrah's have a balcony?
Not all the rooms have balconies. It depends on which tower they place you on. I however was able to have a balcony and see the Venetian and Treasure Island. I was in the Mardi Gras tower. Maybe you should request a room over there.
