The Palms has become so iconic in Vegas that it’s hard to believe it’s only been around since 2001. We’ve had stuff in the back of our office refrigerator longer than that. But that leftover Chinese food can’t match the class and presence that the Palms brings to Flamingo road just west of the Las Vegas Strip. When the night falls, Palms comes alive with Ghostbar, one of the hottest and most impressive clubs (and views) in town. Take the elevator to the 55th floor and enjoy the glorious panoramas of Las Vegas from the outdoor balcony or just embrace the stylish décor and dance the night away to some of the most renowned DJs Las Vegas has around. And if you’re one of those silly day people, you know, someone who isn’t out until 4 a.m. partying with strangers they just met, Ghostbar Dayclub is open during fall and winter, bringing you the excitement of Ghostbar with the practicality of daytime.Speaking of things you do when the sun is out, sunbathing enthusiasts are sure to be lured by the pool area. This magnificent two-acre outdoor playground is comprised of several swimming pools. In addition, there are three bars, a 12-foot waterfall, 27 cabanas, in-water chaise lounges and daybeds. Along with concerts and special events, summer's ongoing Palms Pool & Dayclub parties, like Ditch Fridays, are not to be missed – they just want you to ditch everything else. When you’re ready to sit back, relax and take in a show, the music industry's top performers can usually be found at the Pearl. All 2,500 seats in this high-tech theater have unobstructed sightlines to the stage. No matter what style of music you’re into, assuming it’s not some sort of death metal that they’re legally only allowed to play in German dungeons, you’ll find artists that speak to your style and taste. So be sure to book your trip around your favorite act and turn your vacation into a stay you’ll never forget. For the foodie, Palms has a truly impressive lineup of restaurants. At the French-themed Alizé by chef Andre Rochat and Nove Italiano by chef Geno Bernardo, the spectacular food is overshadowed only by unrivaled views -- panoramic vistas of the Strip and beyond. A hipster's paradise, other trendy restaurants at the Palms include N9NE Steak House, where you'll be living large while savoring tender and tasty cuts of beef. Lao Sze Chuan by renowned Chicago chef Tony Hu serves authentic Sze Chuan cuisine along with a selection of popular Mandarin, Cantonese, Hunan and Shanghai dishes. Lao Sze Chuan also offers dim sum and signature entrees from Hu's Chicago locations like Tony's Chicken with Three Chili. Even the 24 Seven Café, Cafe on the Way, Bistro Buffet and The Eatery, a food court that is positioned next to the 14-screen Brenden Theatres, have fashionable vibes. With a casino, sports book, spa, movie theater and everything else that makes casino resorts so spectacular, Palms has cemented itself as one of those Vegas legacies that won’t soon fade away. The name is classic. The amenities are superb. And everything about the Palms will make you forget you troubles – including whatever might be growing in the back of your refrigerator.

Guests of Palace Station will enjoy an extensive array of amenities during their stay as well as a prime location just west of the Las Vegas Strip. This laid-back resort is also conveniently situated next to the I-15. Built in 1976 on 38 acres and originally opened as "The Casino," it became Palace Station, the flagship property for the Station Casinos empire, in 1991. Although the resort has undergone various renovations, including the addition of a 21-story room tower, it's kept a down-to-earth vibe, making it ideal for travelers on a budget who are seeking a good hotel value. The rooms and suites at Palace Station are outfitted for comfort, with things like cable TVs, hair dryers and wireless internet access. An outdoor pool with a hot tub, a fully equipped fitness center, a business center, a gift shop and a courtesy airport/Strip shuttle will also enhance your vacation experience. From classic to ethnic, guests can indulge their taste buds with a wide range of restaurants. The Charcoal Room, a classic American steakhouse, is where you can savor things like oysters on the half shell, lobster chowder, bone-in New York steak, rib eye, top sirloin and an outstanding porterhouse. Cabo Mexican Restaurant has a fun salsa bar and serves a menu of authentic flavors from south of the border. And the Oyster Bar is an 18-seat, live-action kitchen preparing freshly shucked oysters, steamed clams and homemade seafood pastas. For quick meals, Palace Station boasts the cheerful Grand Café, the all-you-can-eat Feast Buffet, the Food Express Chinese Restaurant, four fast food eateries (Subway, Johnny Rockets, Bonanno's New York Pizzeria and Starbucks) and 24-hour room service.Lively evenings can be spent in Jack's, a pub and sports bar. Local bands also play here several nights a week. The Traxx Bar and Trackside Bar are two more fine spots for cocktails -- including the beloved 99-cent margarita. The casino floor is always busy at Palace Station. You'll find plenty of action in the bingo hall, keno lounge or race and sports book, which boasts 230 seats and 44 large video screens. There's a nonsmoking poker room along with numerous table games and more than 1,600 slot and video poker machines. The resort is unique in that it has an Asian table games area, where guests can try their luck at pai gow tiles and both mini and midi baccarat.Ideal for meetings and special celebrations, Palace Station also features more than 20,000 square feet of event space. It's equipped with state-of-the-art amenities including projectors, DVD players and other technological devices. Catering and other services are available as well.Palace Station is within walking distance of several other restaurants and a short drive from downtown and the Strip -- putting guests near the epicenter of all the big happenings in Las Vegas.
