Claudette's Reviews

For those seeking a saucy, sumptuous and all around awe-inspiring evening of entertainment, look no further than Le Rêve at Wynn Las Vegas. You’ll never know how sexy it can be to kick water in someone’s face until you see this show (kinda makes us want to slosh through every puddle we see).An escape from reality, Le Rêve, French for “The Dream,” takes you through passion and heartbreak in a storyline that is about as steamy as it gets…and we’re not talking about the red-hot fire and water action either. The show has so many incredible elements, starting with the theater itself. It’s not small, but it’s very intimate, a lot like the shape of a funnel – so there’s really no bad seat in the house. Delicate fabric flowers flutter down from the ceiling, hiding the most exquisite aerial acrobats that plunge deep into the 27-foot-deep circular pool below. It’s equipped with a mobile platform, which rises and falls for the different scenes. The water elements perfectly accentuate the performers’ chiseled figures, making the already slinky costumes cling in all the right places, if you know what we mean. The fire and fog create intensity and mystery to an already unbelievable submerging set. There’s dancing, acrobatics, synchronized swimmers, divers and so much more.  This is one show you can’t miss, just trust us on this one…you’ll forget about all those meetings and to-do lists when you melt into the colorful aquatic wonderland that is Le Rêve.

 Zarkana by Cirque du Soleil
Zarkana by Cirque du Soleil
Zarkana by Cirque du Soleil brings another incredible production to the Las Vegas Strip at Aria Resort & Casino. Featuring a 70-member cast of world class acrobats, aerialists, jugglers, and high wire and trapeze artists, Zarkana amazes audiences as the story unfolds (and flips, and jumps, and spins, and.. OK, you get it) before your eyes.Set in a zany alternate universe where bizarre meets arcana (Boom! The phonic parents of Zarkana), a wildly eclectic collection of forgotten circus characters and their jaw-dropping talents explore otherworldly scenarios as their washed up extravaganza comes back to life.Tucked into the surprisingly intimate 1,800-seat Aria Theater, all audience members will feel immersed in the experience… especially when the characters burst through the theater’s imaginary fourth wall to soar above the seats. With comic interjections by the show’s two clowns and an on-stage audience of ghostly members of circuses' past who mingle with the audience throughout the production, you might just feel as if you’re a part of the show yourself…sans the über bendy and flippy parts, which we will leave to the pros (because groin injuries are not ideal).Among the show’s daring acts, audience members will hold their breath while observing the high wire act complete with a swinging pendulum ball of raging fire (you know, since performing tricks on a cable a couple dozen feet in the air isn’t dangerous enough), a flying trapeze routine, in addition to an impressive ladder balancing act. However, you will have plenty of time to dry your sweaty palms and settle your anxiety when taking in beautiful (and less life-threatening) acts of endurance and strength when taking in the aerial straps, hand balancing, sand painting, flag manipulation and juggling acts among others as well. And since every Cirque du Soleil show is performed with the musical aid of a live band, audiences will enjoy an all-encompassing musical experience with a lead singer who has seemingly range-less vocals that hit even the most daunting of notes. In addition to the production’s 12-song soundtrack, there are intricate set changes that transform the stage to complement every act. Multiple layers of LED screens create stunning visuals that transform from an old circus, to outer space, to a snake-infested jungle, to a spider’s web and others scenes that add to the show’s unique visual experience. But back to the audience involvement, we will not tell you exactly what happens, but we will let you know that those clowns we previously mentioned take a little stroll in the audience during the show and do not return to the stage alone. If you’re a female sitting in the first few rows, you just may be selected to join the two comical creatures on stage to help demonstrate their electric chair. Let's just say that sparks definitely fly.In true Cirque du Soleil fashion, “Zarkana” serves audience members a visual treat with seemingly impossible physical feats that blur the line between reality and a wild realm of imagination. So get your glasses, eye drops, tape… whatever will help you keep your eyes open and not blink because this is one production that you will want to catch every second of.

Worst show I've ever seen!
PostedSeptember 19, 2013
Me and my friend were very disappointed while we were watching the show. I have seen most of The Cirque Du Soleil shows and I had a good experience. This was not one of them. The show is slow, boring, a waste of time and money. There is nothing exciting about it or different. It was worse than going to a regular Circus. We were about to leave before it even ended but we stayed, we had nothing better to do. We saw some couples leaving. To be honest we were expecting to have a fun night watching the show but we didn't. I would never recommend this show to anyone!! The Aria is a beautiful Hotel and the theatre is very nice, they should change the show to something with more quality and excitement.

Why during the process for buying the tickets I can not see the seats number and location? I marked best seat upgrade but where they are located?

The seats were great, we were on the 4th or Fifth row. Close to the center.
