If you're politically correct, uptight or simply dislike laughing as much as Jeff Dunham's friend Walter dislikes his wife, then... you probably will not enjoy Dunham's ventriloquism, stand-up comedy show. However, if your sense of humor is a little bit skewed, you enjoy hearing the opinions of ruthless old (and even dead) puppet men, and you get your kicks from watching a manic purple thing and a jalapeño-on-a-stick have a conversation, then you should have already seen this show... like yesterday!   Certainly not your typical stand-up comedian, Dunham and his slew of sidekicks are stopping at nothing and crossing every line without hesitation for his Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino residency "Not Playing with a Full Deck."Even though Dunham has been the only human on the stage since he began his career at the ripe old age of 8, the lifelike company of his puppets has proven to Dunham's worldwide audience that the comedian has actually never been alone. Joining Dunham on stage in his new Las Vegas home are Walter the Grumpy Retiree, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, redneck Bubba J, the manic purple creature Peanut, the spicy pepper from south of the border José Jalapeño, and Peanut's own ventriloquist dummy Little Jeff -- a mini-version of the ringmaster himself. However, while using puppets to entertain full-grown adults may seem like a joke in itself (Dunham will be the first to tell you that!), besides the fact that Dunham has mastered the art of ventriloquism in order to captivate his audience in seconds, there is one more key factor that makes his puppets, so dang funny -- they are so unexpectedly relatable.Additionally, Dunham is not above audience involvement. While sitting in the first row may get you picked on by one of the characters, you can be sitting anywhere in the audience to ask Achmed a question. Before the show, every audience member has the chance to submit a question to the dead terrorist so during the performance get ready for some awesome candid hilarity as Dunham proposes a selection of the audience's questions to the sarcastic skeleton. Take it from us: Achmed's responses are certainly worth the few minutes it takes to submit a question... do it!Having won a multitude of awards including two-time Ventriloquist of the Year and TNN Music City News Country Awards' Comedian of the Year, 2008 top comic in Comedy Central's "Stand-Up Showdown," this famed funnyman has become a household name across America by bringing his troupe of characters to life and leaving his audiences in stitches in the process. After touring the world for the past 28 years, Dunham has become a phenomenally successful global entertainment brand with television specials and series that have been the highest rated programming in Comedy Central history, DVD sales that have surpassed 7 million units, and videos that have exceeded half a billion views on YouTube. Also with his appearances on various television shows and movies including "Comedy Central Presents," "The Tonight Show," "Ellen," "The Jeff Dunham Show," "30 Rock" and "Dinner for Schmucks," among others, Dunham has accrued such a following worldwide that that even Guinness World Records took notice and recently named Dunham as the world record holder for "Most Tickets Sold for a Stand-up Comedy Tour" for his "Spark of Insanity" tour which sold 1,981,720 tickets and played 386 venues around the world."Jeff Dunham: Not Playing with a Full Deck" has undoubtedly taken a place on Vegas' comedy apex seeing that it is a completely fun, witty and downright hilarious production.

Going to the Jeff Dunham show was one full of laughter, humor and total enjoyment. Best time ever with an awesome seat. Couldn't get any better. Well yes it could, if I get to go again with same seat and seeing Jeff and his act.

"I'll be baack!"We know...you're wondering what do the "Terminator" movies and an Italian-themed luxury resort in Vegas have to do with each other? OK, not a lot. But that famous line, which is uttered in some form in all of the franchise's films, happens to be the same one said by guests (without Arnold Schwarzenegger's gruff Austrian accent) upon leaving The Venetian. So consider yourself warned: If you spend your Vegas vacation here, you'll be spoiled for all other hotels. You'll want to come back to The Venetian -- time and time again. It's just that great.Located a tad north of the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, directly across from The Mirage, this megaresort is a colossally cool creation in modern day Vegas. Opened in 1999, it's situated where the Sands Hotel of Rat Pack lore once stood. Now this is obvious so it probably goes without saying, but we'll say it anyway -- The Venetian is inspired by the art and architectural beauty of Venice. There are faithfully re-created landmarks from Italy's most romantic city everywhere. You'll spot the Campanile Tower, St. Mark's Square, the Rialto Bridge and Doge's Palace. Arched bridges, piazzas and cobblestone pathways are incorporated throughout the property. And just wait until you see the Renaissance-style ceiling in the lobby...you might as well cross Venice off your bucket list because this is almost as awesome. The Venetian, which sits next to The Palazzo (its sister resort), consists of two towers -- the 36-story Venetian Tower and the 12-story Venezia Tower. Both of them are filled with suites (and only suites...so get ready to be unbelievably comfortable). The smallest one measures about 650 square feet and features Italian marble floors, Roman tubs with separate showers, Egyptian cotton sheets, a sunken living area and other palatial amenities.Unfortunately, many things will entice you to leave your suite at The Venetian (otherwise, you would never come out). You can take in Broadway-caliber entertainment like the smash hit "Rock of Ages." The hotel is also home to "Smokey Robinson Presents Human Nature: The Motown Show," featuring four talented vocalists from Australia who sing Motown tunes. Plus, a variety of headliners and comedians -- like the ladies of the "Lipshtick" comedy series -- regularly appear here. The Venetian brings a cornucopia of dining choices to you as well. Indulge in culinary creations (most of which you won't be able pronounce) at its celebrity chef-helmed restaurants. There's the fresh seafood of AquaKnox by Tom Moloney, the Italian delights of B & B Ristorante by Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich, the meaty fare of Delmonico Steakhouse by Emeril Lagasse, the contemporary French dishes of db Brasserie by Daniel Boulud and the bistro classics of Bouchon by Thomas Keller (who also operates the Bouchon Bakery at two locations in the resort).Buddy Valastro, the star of the reality show "Cake Boss," offers family favorites, like Sunday Gravy and Steak Pizzaiola, in his first-ever restaurant Buddy V's. Adjacent to it is Carlo's Bakery, where you can get cannolis, Buddy's lobster tail pastries and, of course, his famous cakes.Feast on more casual offerings at the patio-style Trattoria Reggiano and the Old Mexico-themed Taqueria Cañonita. B&B Burger & Beer, another venue by Batali and Bastianich, features hamburgers with super delicious shakes. Select from breakfast items, seafood, chicken, salads, sandwiches and more than 20 fabulous desserts at the Grand Lux Café. Or try the Public House, where brews and spirits of all kinds are paired with a gourmet pub menu. Yardbird Southern Table & Bar is the latest eatery to open at The Venetian. It serves delicious fried chicken and other beloved Southern staples. Yardbird also has a truly unique cocktail menu -- thanks to a special ice room where mixologists harvest hand-cut, flavored blocks, sculpt them into crazy shapes and then put them in the drinks. (You won't believe the cube...or rather sphere...that comes in the Yardbird Old Fashioned!)Speaking of drinking, nightlife options abound at The Venetian. There's The Bourbon Room, inspired by the legendary Sunset Strip club in the musical "Rock of Ages." Partiers can get shots of bourbon while dancing to feel-good tunes from the '80s. V Bar is a chic, intimate spot where you can sip on a martini while relaxing in a double-sided leather chaise lounge. For a more pulsating scene, head to TAO Nightclub, which boasts gorgeous go-go dancers, some of the world's leading DJs and a 40-foot-long outdoor terrace with stunning views of the Strip. Last but not least is the rollicking Rockhouse, which boasts tire swings for the bartenders, birdcages for dancing girls and a mechanical bull. For a nightlife experience during the day, check out TAO Beach, where you can sunbathe on beautiful Asian-inspired daybeds or in lavish cabanas. If you'd prefer to catch some rays without being immersed in the pool party scene, The Venetian also has a sprawling pool deck with access to seven outdoor swimming pools, four hot tubs and 41 cabanas. And Canyon Ranch SpaClub is a quiet oasis where you can be pampered from a menu of rejuvenating treatments that includes massages, mud masks, aromatherapy experiences, facials, body scrubs and more. Many other things will compete for your attention at The Venetian too. Test your luck on the opulent casino floor, in the elegant 59-table poker room or at the race and sports book operated by CG Technology. You can stroll inside and outside along canals teeming with authentic gondolas steered by singing gondoliers. Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, a worldwide attraction featuring celebrity wax figures, is situated at the front of the resort. And the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian | The Palazzo is a collection of approximately 160 high-end shops (including Barneys) that flaunts the hottest names in the fashion world. On a side note, The Venetian ideal if you're a business traveler because it's connected to the Sands Expo and Convention Center. And, in addition to all the things that already make this resort remarkable, it's eco-friendly. So, if you want to ease your conscience by sleeping in a place that takes sustainability seriously, The Venetian -- with solar panels, a reclaimed water system and many other green initiatives -- is it.Stay at the Venetian and you'll get a suite, more amenities under one roof than you can fathom and a great location on the Strip (should you ever leave the premises). You'll have an all-around amazing time in Vegas at The Venetian. And we know -- because like an old record, everyone who stays here says it -- you'll be back!

The disembodied narrators of the Blue Man Group show profess to know a lot about human nature and social evolution, but the three earless, voiceless, black-clad stars are oddly oblivious.Though it deals out a good dose of off-color humor, the show also takes on big issues including brain function, groupthink, artificial intelligence and the loss of language, guiding the audience to its conclusions about society with the same playful force that the trio of mimes uses to harangue guests into participating in the production.Once the floating eyeball blimps finish their pre-show course around the theater and silent scrolling text has mocked a few of your fellow audience members, be prepared to have a bright blue hand sift through your personal belongings and to hear a booming voice insinuate that your iPhone is making you less human. It's all part of the fun.Blue Man Group sprinkles its show with kid-friendly variety acts and quick-change illusions, but the core of its appeal is the company's signature music, played on fantastical invented instruments. Lighting and special effects bolster the effect of the beats, but Blue Man Group is not a show with a soundtrack — it's a soundtrack with a show.

Get ready to clap your hands, stomp your feet and maybe even learn some new dance moves at "Smokey Robinson presents Human Nature: The Motown Show." The show features the dynamic harmonies of Toby Allen, Phil Burton, Andrew Tierney and Michael Tierney as they perform Motown's greatest hits. Their uplifting show creates a night of exciting entertainment.Robinson first heard Human Nature when they auditioned for him in hopes of getting his permission to sing one of his songs on their new album."I grew up with Motown where the standard for talent was so high," said Robinson. "When I saw these guys I was blown away."Robinson not only gave them permission to use his song, but he became an instant fan. He said that what impressed him most about Human Nature was their ability to sound amazing without any special voice altering techniques, as used with many other popular studio artists today. Robinson wanted other people in the United States to have that same experience, which led to Human Nature being the first Australian group to have their own show on the Las Vegas Strip.Although audiences in Vegas may not be that familiar with Human Nature, they are one of the most popular acts from Australia. The group formed in 1989 as a doo-wop band in Sydney. In 1994 they signed with Sony Music and released their debut album "Telling Everybody" in 1995. The album was an instant hit, selling four times platinum and in the process going on to become the most successful debut album ever released in Australia. Human Nature released their fourth consecutive No. 1 album, "A Symphony of Hits," in 2008.As a result of their outstanding showmanship, Human Nature has performed as the opening act for Celine Dion and Michael Jackson. In 2000, they had the honor of performing the Australian National Anthem at the Sydney Olympics. In "Smokey Robinson presents Human Nature: The Motown Show," the four men, dressed in coordinating suits, perform all your favorite Motown hits including "Reach Out I'll Be There," "Baby I Need Your Loving" and "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" backed by a live six-piece band. Not only do they have all the soulful sound of The Four Tops, but they also have the catchy choreography. The men are constantly moving around the stage in sync with one another and the music.Between songs they stop to greet the audience. They explain that when they were young they always aspired to be as great as groups like The Temptations and The Miracles. Part of that inspiration came from the positive message they got from hearing Motown music and then wanting to share that experience others.People watch the group in awe, mesmerized by their four voices resounding throughout the showroom. There are several of these moments in the show when Human Nature performs without the band. These songs spotlight each performer's amazing voice and his ability to perform in perfect harmony with the rest of the group.Aside from just showing off their fancy footwork and incredible voices, the performers also like to share their fun-loving personalities with the audience. During their performance of "Stop In the Name of Love" they ask guests to get out of their seats and learn a few dance moves with them. Everyone stands while Allen, Burton and the Tierney brothers demonstrate some simple choreography to perform in time with the chorus. Before you know it, the entire audience is standing with their hands in the air and singing along.Human Nature keeps everyone on their feet and dancing to the tunes of more hits including "Wait a Minute Mr. Postman," "My Girl," and "ABC." No one can resist the feel-good message found in these timeless songs and in the incredible show put on by Human Nature.

You don't need to pack any bags for this excursion, but you may want to wear some comfortable shoes for toe-tapping."Let us take you down to an old dirt road," says a pre-recorded announcement before impersonators portraying some of the biggest names in country music along with up-and-coming acts take the stage in Country Superstars. This show gives fans plenty to write home about. Country Superstars has a concert-style format, showcasing a main performer singing with a live five-piece band. The show features tribute artists singing your favorite songs and emulating an uncanny likeness to the real performers.Country Superstars has a rotating lineup of tribute artists. On the night the show was attended the headlining tribute acts were Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw and Garth Brooks. The performers do an incredible job of re-creating the look, sound and feel of the artists they portray. Each one performed a selection of greatest hit songs with all live music. There are no backing tracks or lip synching in this revue. The show opens with McEntire's performance of "Turn on the Radio." She also acts as the show's spunky and sassy host. Things get a little "Strange" before McEntire belts out you can "Consider Me Gone."Wearing his signature black cowboy hat, the tribute artist portraying Tim McGraw does fans justice with his rendition of songs including "Real Good Man," "Something Like That (A Heart Don't Forget)" and "Down on the Farm." The performer is a real "tall glass of water," as McEntire puts it. He gives fans, especially women in the audience, plenty to cheer about while he's on stage.Next, Brooks takes audiences by storm with his performance of "The Thunder Rolls," "Friends in Low Places" and "Rodeo." Part tribute show, part concert, Country Superstars celebrates music from the past, present and future. Get ready to get down with the best in country music at this revue.Note: This show features a rotating cast of country superstars, not a guaranteed lineup.

we were disappointed with this show. Basically the impersonators didn't do as good of a job portraying their person except for the gal doing Reba...I wouldn't recommend this show...but use your money to see something else of greater professionalism and quality...

If you're looking for a show that's a fusion of acrobatics, dance and visual effects, accompanied by a classic rock 'n' roll soundtrack, then all you need is LOVE.After all, we’ve all been there; lying around on a hazy gold afternoon, humming along to “I Want To Hold Your Hand,” “Hey Jude” or another Beatles classic that has made its way onto the soundtrack of our life… There is just no getting around the fact that The Beatles are a musical home base of sorts.Since their heyday, The Beatles have awakened the dormant minds of waiting generations with their collection of hits that venture far beyond the lyrics and deep into a well-lit (innuendo totally intended) world of musical surrealism. But while capturing the essence of The Beatles is comparable to capturing lightning in a mason jar, Cirque du Soleil has managed to, quite literally, bend the rules of reality and bring the mystical and slightly psychedelic story of the enchanting, four-man band and the time in which they lived to life.Show Director Dominic Champagne calls The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil a "rock 'n' roll poem." The show is a 90-minute journey through the trends and politics of the '60s and most importantly, The Beatles' history, told through nearly 30 of the group's songs.LOVE started out as a collaboration between George Harrison and Cirque du Soleil's Guy LaLiberté. After Harrison's death, the remaining Beatles and the families of the late group members helped bring Harrison's vision to life, sharing their ideas about song selection and song order for the show. The music director for LOVE is none other than Sir George Martin, who is best known for his work producing The Beatles' music. Martin's son, Giles, is also a music director for the show.Although LOVE features some well-known Beatles songs, it is not meant to be a greatest hits show. The journey starts with the energetic "Get Back" at the scene of The Beatles' farewell concert and then flashes back to Liverpool during World War II when the band members were young children. No journey through the '60s would be complete without a trip through the era of Beatlemania. Acrobats and tumblers on trampolines perform, accompanied by "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "Drive My Car."“Help” booms through the speakers to serve as the adrenaline-pumping soundtrack for four fuzzy rollerblade-clad daredevils. With stunts worthy of making Tony Hawk nervous, audience members are astounded by flips, spins and other tricks performed on this 11-foot-tall, center stage half pipe."Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and "Octopus's Garden" are the perfect backdrops for Cirque's famous aerial ballet moves. The show even features a "jam session" created from authentic recordings of the four band members. All of the audio clips and music in the show are from actual recordings from The Beatles' Abbey Road studio. The show concludes with its namesake "All You Need is Love," as a montage of photos of The Beatles plays on huge screens, leaving the audience with a feeling of nostalgia for a bygone era.Besides The Beatles, the other star of the show is the 2,000-plus seat theater itself, which features 360-degree seating. There is not a bad seat in the house and the farthest is only 98 feet from the stage. The sound system is unlike any other - there are 6,341 speakers in the theater and patrons feel as though they are completely enveloped in sound. There are three speakers per seat -- two in each headrest and one in the seat in front of you.The theater also features a complex video system with 28 projectors and two 20-foot-high by 100-foot-wide screens, which contribute to the visual experience.LOVE is not a typical Cirque du Soleil show with high-flying trapeze artists, gymnasts and acrobats. Although there is some of that in the show, it is mainly a theatrical and dance-oriented show. The creators also wanted to bring a bit of the youth of today into the show, showcasing extreme sports, break dancing and street dancing. In the end, it's all about the music and if you're a fan of The Beatles, you'll have nothing but love for this show.

We enjoyed the Hoover Dam and the Lake Meade lunch cruise. Both were two tours that I would recommend if one visits Vegas...and does as a day side trip. I would book again thru Vegas.Com..as even with the tour being cut early after the M & M plant tour we still got the great value of a wonderful trip to the Dam and Lake Meade
