For the most part, people like to be in the action. For example, at a baseball game the seats directly behind home plate are far more exciting than the nosebleeds that practically require binoculars. And now that we have established that, we will let you know that one of our favorite parts about the Four Queens Hotel & Casino is that its location is practically the dugout – for non-baseball followers, it is smack-dab in the middle of the action.Boasting old Vegas glamour fashion (translation: lots of neon), this vintage property (it opened in 1966) is situated at the intersection of Casino Center Boulevard and Fremont Street and is part of the revitalization occurring in this iconic area of the city.Connected to Fremont Street Experience, the main entrance of the Four Queens is positioned underneath a stunning multimillion-light Viva Vision canopy that brilliantly twinkles like a welcoming beacon to all of its visitors and guests alike. Considering its location, everything you could imagine is within reach just steps from the marble-floored lobby. From classic Fremont Street amusements, hotels, shops, and restaurants to the Strip and Downtown Express bus systems, you have a number of options with the Four Queens as home base. And while you're not out exploring the delights of Sin City, you will undoubtedly find yourself entertained somewhere within the Four Queens. The 32,000-square-foot casino floor at the hotel includes a Keno lounge, a massive mix of table games as well as slot and video poker machines, which run the gamut and are regularly updated to reflect the latest trends. And for the sports fans, the hotel's Race and Sports Book offers bar style seating while onlookers watch the game on one of the 42-inch flat screen TVs.When you're ready for a drink (or three!) there are several bars located throughout the casino while the largest bar – the Patio Bar – is located just outside of the main entrance in addition to smaller bars at the east and west entrances. Needless to say… you will be well hydrated regardless of where you enter or roam within the hotel. When hunger strikes the Four Queens has you covered. For an intimate private dining experience, step into Hugo's Cellar -- this gourmet restaurant opened with the resort and consistently tops locals' lists for the best gourmet meal. Offering patrons the chance to go back in time and enjoy impeccable service paired with a sumptuous menu boasting gourmet continental cuisine you are guaranteed a full belly and a good memory. And to add to the elegance of the deep red, brick walls and the table-side salad preparation, every woman is presented with a long-stemmed red rose. However, if you're looking for a quicker, less formal bite, Magnolia's Veranda, a 24-hour coffee shop, is also a long-running favorite with visitors and in-the-know locals, thanks to its tempting $9.95 prime rib special. Or you can swing by the food court, which is home to Subway, Noble Roman's Pizza as well as Dreyer's Ice Cream. And in the middle of those options is the most recently opened  eatery, the Chicago Brewing Company. Along with handcrafted microbrews, you can tantalize your taste buds with a fresh-baked pizza or kick back for a smoke in the cigar lounge. For those interested in continuing the post-meal entertainment in the hotel, the Canyon Club showroom hosts comic magician Mike Hammer early in the evening as well as Steve Connolly, who impersonates Elvis in "Spirit of the King," later in the evening. With the oak décor, deep, stage-surrounding sofas, coffee tables and simple folding chairs, the ambiance alone makes for an intimate entertainment experience.Combining fun and comfort with a great location in the heart of downtown, the Four Queens is where to stay if you want to experience the best of Vegas' past and present.

PostedJuly 5, 2013
This was our 2nd time there recently and we loved it. Definitely plan on visiting again. The Freemont Street location is excellent and there is plenty of activity going on all day and evening. Staff was wonderful and helpful. Cannot wait until I can go again.

Who said being the center of attention was a bad thing? Located in the heart of the ever-lively Fremont Street Experience, The Fremont Hotel and Casino has taken downtown's center stage and isn't leaving anytime soon. This recently remodeled 14-story hotel, welcomes guests and visitors alike with glowing marquees and inexpensive fun.Boasting a 32,000-square-foot casino that is open to the energetic Fremont Street explorers, the Fremont is home to 1,000 slots, video poker and keno machines as well as 24 table games, live keno, and a 42-seat Race and Sports Book.  Located right next to the Race and Sports Book is the Fremont's Paradise Buffett. With eight stations, it is very likely that you will find an entree to satisfy even the most persistent of cravings. However, even if your needs were met in the buffet, you will eventually need to refuel again and The Fremont offers several additional eateries to keep you satisfied. More casual dining can be enjoyed at the Second Street Grill, which is known for its Pacific Rim-influenced cuisine, or Tony Roma's, which sure to tempt your palate with flavorful char-grilled ribs, chicken and burgers. Short on time? Go for a hot dog, salad or Chinese dish at Lanai Express – or just grab a coffee and a sweat treat at Dunkin' Donuts or the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.  With direct access to Fremont Street and a nearby stop for the Strip and Downtown Express bus line, adventures begin just steps outside of the hotel. Whether you're content exploring downtown  or if you're seeking out Las Vegas Boulevard, the Fremont Hotel and Casino is a convenient place to call home base.
