Blending glamour and modern luxury, The Cosmopolitan is, without a doubt, the most chic and stylish resort on the Strip. It boasts a guest experience that interlaces ultra comfortable accommodations with trendsetting restaurants and shops, hot music and nightspots, striking visual art and cool technology.Making its fashionable debut at the end of 2010, the 2,995-room, über-classy property, which sits on the corner of Harmon Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, is likely to be the last major casino resort to open on the Strip for the foreseeable future. Consisting of two elegant New York-style towers, its architecture provides a refreshing change from the city's many themed resortsWith eight dynamic columns wrapped in mirrors and video screens, the lobby even doubles as a trendy ultra lounge -- and the Vesper Bar, named for the fictional martini loved by secret agent James Bond, is just steps away. Once you enter The Cosmopolitan's vibrant world, you can gamble, shop, wine and dine, be entertained or simply relax – whatever you envision for your perfect vacation.Of course, the most important thing to hipsters is the nightlife -- and it's here in spades. Set beneath a stunning curtain of crystal beads, The Chandelier is the centerpiece featuring three stories of unique bar environments: a classic cocktail nook on top, a lounge setting in the middle and a high-energy social scene at the bottom. In addition, partiers will adore Marquee Nightclub, where DJs are always pumping today's top sounds. Surrounded by four-story LED screens, the dance floor will wow you. Plus, during the spring and summer months, guests can enjoy the Marquee Dayclub experience, which is filled with poolside debauchery. The Cosmopolitan also has a social club called Rose.Rabbit.Lie., which is part restaurant, part bar and part club. It is also home to "Vegas Nocturne," a vaudeville-like revue with an array of offbeat acts including displays of acrobatics, tap dancing and magic.Gourmands are sure to savor the diverse dining opportunities helmed by culinary stars from around the world. Signature restaurants include STK, a flirty take on a steakhouse by chef Stephen Hopcraft, and Scarpetta, which serves a regional Italian menu evoking the simplicity of "cucina rustica" (a rustic kitchen) by chef Scott Conant. Eateries like Jaleo by food mastermind José Andrés and the Mediterranean-themed Estiatorio Milos by restaurateur Costas Spiliadis are changing the face of fine dining in Las Vegas. Plus, chef David Myers' modern French brasserie Comme Ça is très bien!On the casual end, several restaurants at The Cosmopolitan dish out simpler cuisine -- prepared with the freshest ingredients. Holsteins knows how to grill up great burgers, and the Wicked Spoon brunch/buffet specializes in a variety of American comfort foods. There's even a secret pizza window where you can grab a New York-style slice and a Coke on the run.In the evenings the resort plays host to some of the world’s top musicians. A stellar entertainment lineup can be found taking the stage inside The Chelsea (like Grammy Award-winning recording artist Bruno Mars, who will perform for select dates through August 2014) or outside by the Boulevard Pool. Performances are often broadcast live to passersby on The Cosmopolitan's 65-foot-tall LED-display marquee. The funky lounges Book & Stage and Bond regularly host free concerts or live DJs as well. There is a collection of stores at The Cosmopolitan that create an urban boutique shopping experience. From AllSaints Spitalfields and Stitched to the CRSVR Sneaker Boutique, you'll discover an array of exclusive apparel and other merchandise for men and women. And stop by P3 Studio, a glass-walled space that features contemporary artists from around the world who create interactive artwork as part of a residency programThe guest rooms at The Cosmopolitan offer unparalleled comfort, breathtaking views from oversized private terraces and thoughtful amenities, like a kitchenette with a microwave and a Sub-Zero minibar stocked with unexpected treats. The high-rise hotel also features an expansive casino, the mystical Sahra Spa & Hammam and a progressive arts program. With plenty of chances for fun and relaxation, as well as for indulging your palate, being pampered, partying and spotting stars, The Cosmopolitan is the place to be in Las Vegas.-- By Renée LiButti

Went to Cosmopolitan at suggestion of a stranger in Denver, told us we had to "have a cosmo at the Cosmo". So, we went inside, found that it is definitely high end in everything you see - shops, decor, and quality. After a few moments, we came across the establishment we had been told to find - The Chandelier. As the name implies, it is a three story lounge (to call it a bar is to insult the place) that is simply put, a huge chandelier from top to bottom, dominated by crystals everywhere. If you like sparkly, this place is for you. Perhaps a bit pricey, as is to be expected, but as advertised, it was the best cosmopolitan we ever had.
After our drink, we went downstairs to the casino, where a dealer named Michael went above and beyond to teach us the ropes at craps, even though we were not ready actually bet yet.
Since we didn't stay in the hotel, I gave average ratings for the items i did not experience.

Calling all lovers of the Empire City! New York-New York, which is located near the southern end of the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, is the perfect place to stay if you enjoy Big Apple dreamin'. Reserving a room puts you right in the heart of all the action at one of Sin City's busiest four corners. The sprawling resort is best known for its New York City theme. You'll discover a half-size replica of the Statue of Liberty welcoming you to the hotel and can even stroll alongside a 300-foot-long re-creation of the Brooklyn Bridge. Crave the ethnic flavor of Chinatown and Little Italy? Yearn for the energy of Times Square? Fancy the amusement of Coney Island? They're all right here as well. The façade at New York-New York is based on Manhattan's skyline. Twelve renowned skyscrapers have been emulated at about one-third of their actual size. They house the resort's 2,024 comfortable rooms and suites. This means you can choose to stay in the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building or whatever other super tower you adore.New York City is known for its entertainment scene -- and New York-New York has followed suit. Although far from Broadway, the Cirque du Soleil production of "Zumanity" is a powerful and provocative theatrical display. Unlike the troupe's typical avant-garde circus performances, this one will take you into an adults-only world where you'll have to leave your inhibitions behind.Just like the "city that never sleeps," New York-New York is home to an array of nightlife venues that keep going until the wee hours. You can experience a live version of the saloon that was featured in its own movie at Coyote Ugly. Nine Fine Irishmen, an authentic Irish pub imported directly from the Emerald Isle, has bragging rights to being the most congenial gathering spot. There's just no better place in Las Vegas to grab a pint of Guinness and soak up the "craic" (i.e., the Celtic word for fun and good conversation).Other spots in New York-New York also let the good times roll. The Sporting House Bar & Grill (closing June 3, 2014) is like heaven to sports fans with 130 high-definition TVs, interactive games and plenty of snack-style eats. Over at The Bar at Times Square, you can listen to a boisterous performance by dueling pianos.Like New York City, a bounty of culinary delights are located here. Cut into a succulent steak at Gallagher's Steakhouse, a New York City landmark since 1927. Gonzalez y Gonzalez offers south-of-the-border favorites in a rendition of another beloved NYC restaurant. Chin Chin Café serves Chinese food and sushi in a trendy atmosphere. For casual meals, you can always grab a bite at one of the Village Eateries, the 24-hour café America or, of course, Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs.As a nod to the Big Apple's vibrant pedestrian-oriented neighborhoods, the promenade in front of the hotel has been widened and transformed into an outdoor plaza. A stage has been tucked into one end of the Brooklyn Bridge where you'll often find bands and other forms of live entertainment featured. In addition to patios at Starbucks and Nine Fine Irishmen, several shops -- like Stupidiotic, Swatch and I?NYNY -- are accessible from entrances on Las Vegas Boulevard and from within New York-New York. Hershey's Chocolate World, will be opening in late spring. This interactive attraction will have an entrance with a towering Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bar and an 18-foot Reese's Peanut Butter Cup as well as allow guests to taste new treats, personalize sweet gifts and create keepsake photos. The last elements of the promenade, Tom's Urban and Shake Shake, will debut in December 2014.In addition, the resort offers plenty of fun stuff for the young -- and young at heart. A Coney Island-themed emporium is filled with carnival and arcade games. This is also where you can hop on the nerve-wracking Big Apple Coaster that winds through the property's pseudo-skyline.Rounding out the amenities is a spacious casino, a well-equipped fitness center and a pool with cabanas and hot tubs. The Spa at New York-New York offers some quirky yet soothing treatments, such as the Environmental Escape (a super-charged skin cocktail) and the Traffic Stopper (a facial infused with vitamins and oxygen).Although far from the real Wall Street and Central Park, a visit to New York-New York is a singular sensation -- and one that puts you in the pulse of two of America's greatest cities.-- By Renée LiButti

As the name suggests, New York, New York Casino/Hotel has something for everyone - gambling, shopping, NYC quality food (pizza, deli, burgers, Italian, Asian), bars/nightclubs, shows, an arcade and even a roller coaster that is both in and outside the casino!
Friendly table staff in the casino made us very comfortable learning the ropes at the craps table, a pleasant surprise.
Great location, within two blocks of most of the strip.

Hello,. I would like to stay at your hotel, but I'm a lite sleeper. I do not
care if my room is facing the strip. I am a single mail. I'll just need a king or quen bed. How can I get a room away from the rollercoaster.

THank-you
That's easy, just ask them. I was able to see the coaster from my window, but never heard it once.
