The power of the mind takes center stage as international mentalist Frederic Da Silva returns for his second stint in Las Vegas, Paranormal at Bally's Las Vegas. The magic, mind-reading, hypnosis and a mystery of this show isn't just in your head. Da Silva has been honored with numerous awards for his powerful abilities. He's the 2011 winner of the FISM European Championship of Magic. In 2010, he was awarded the Nostradamus d' Or as best mentalist in Europe and was also a prize winner in the FFAP French Championship of Magic. Many fans may also know him as a contestant on "France's Got Talent."Da Silva's afternoon show will leave you guessing as to what is reality and what is illusion. He will get inside your head and make predictions that seem unbelievable. He may even know the name of the person you've been obsessing about or predict what you have in your pocket. Prepare to have your mind blown ... and in some cases, read.

The High Roller in Las Vegas isn't your average Ferris wheel. There's nothing average about it. And it's not really a Ferris wheel; it's an observation wheel -- the biggest in the world at a staggering 550-feet-tall.Yes, you read that right: 550 feet. That's nine feet taller than the Singapore Flyer and 107 feet taller than the London Eye. It currently holds the Guinness World Record for largest observation wheel.Located at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, the High Roller is the focal point of the $550 million open-air shopping, dining and entertainment district, The LINQ Promenade. It's a sight that can't be missed. Literally, you can't miss it.The High Roller is comprised of 28 enclosed and air-conditioned transparent pods holding 40 passengers each. The pods are roomy with a couple benches and the ride is smooth, not typically bothering those with a minor fear of heights. From boarding to exit, the entire experience is about 30 minutes long (be sure to hit the bathroom before you board). Along the way, you enjoy in-cabin video and music shows while witnessing a truly unparalleled 360-degree view of Las Vegas both day and night. With panoramic views of the Strip, the valley and the mountains, there’s something to see from every angle. But the southwest corner (your immediate right when you enter the pod) offers the best Strip views at the highest point. If you happen to nab this sweet spot, be courteous to other riders. There may be up to 39 other people riding with you in your pod. They want photos too.The High Roller is accessible from The LINQ via multiple entrances, including a back porte cochère off of LINQ Lane (formerly Audrie Lane). The Las Vegas Monorail, meanwhile, cruises right in front of the High Roller with convenient stops at both the Flamingo and The Quad.To board the High Roller, guests pass through a building, which includes interactive elements, bathrooms and a bar and lounge. The building also has a hospitality area with outdoor patios, which can be reserved for catered private parties of up to 500 people.Just as the High Roller has transformed the Las Vegas skyline, a ride inside it may transform you. After a spin on this wheel, your view of Vegas will likely never be the same.

Las Vegas may be a playground for adults but there is one place that's all about the kids.Head toward the north end of the Strip and you really can't miss the giant neon clown sign and massive pink and white circus tent-shaped building that is Circus Circus Hotel, Casino & Theme Park, a classic Las Vegas hotel since 1968.The hotel is so iconic you've seen it in movies like "Diamonds Are Forever" and "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery." It was also mentioned in Hunter S. Thompson's famous book, "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas."  In fact, we think he described it perfectly: "The place is about four stories high, in the style of a circus tent, and all manner of strange county fair/Polish carnival madness is going on up in this space." That madness is exactly what makes Circus Circus Hotel, Casino & Theme Park such a great place for families. The accommodations are affordable and you'll find an absolutely endless supply of entertainment for people of all ages.True to its theme, the hotel boasts the world's largest permanent circus under a big top inside. Just follow the sounds of guests oohing and aahing and you'll find acts like aerialists, jugglers, acrobats and trapeze artists flying through the air with the greatest of ease. The best part? The performances are totally free.Sharpen your ring tossing skills and head to the midway, which offers more than 200 classic carnival games. Didn't win at the tables? You can at least win yourself a giant stuffed animal here. There's also an arcade with classic and current video games.Go back to your room and take a quick power nap because, even though it doesn't seem possible, the fun doesn't stop there. The biggest attraction at Circus Circus is The Adventuredome, America's largest indoor theme park. It doesn’t matter if it's the hottest summer day or a chilly winter afternoon, the dome is a comfortable 72 degrees and ready for action year-round.The five-acre park has a dizzying (literally) array of rides to choose from. The brave at heart can hop on the Canyon Blaster, a double-loop, double-corkscrew roller coaster. The younger set will enjoy Miner Mike, a runaway coal train, or the Thunderbirds, a squadron of not-so-high-flying 1920s-style airplanes. The Adventuredome's newest thrill is the El Loco roller coaster. If you're loco enough to ride it, you'll experience a 90-foot ascent, negative G drops, gravity-defying turns and over-the-edge twists.Parents might need a bit of adult time after all that sensory overload and luckily Circus Circus has plenty for the 21 and older crowd too. The resort has a full casino, a race and sports book and there's the adjacent Slots A Fun casino where you can play the slots, shoot some darts or watch sports on big screen TVs.Adults will also appreciate the hotel's gourmet dining room, THE Steak House, which has earned acclaim in Las Vegas for more than 30 years for its perfectly prepared prime cuts of meat and old school service. If you're still standing at the end of a fun-filled day with the kids at Circus Circus, you deserve a shot, so head to rock 'n' roll legend Vince Neil's Tatuado Eat-Drink-Party! and Party Bus Bar, which features flair bartenders and party girls offering up creative cocktails.
