Who says you have to be a celebrity to be treated like one? Well, in real life, to experience that celebrated lifestyle of the rich and the famous you usually do actually have to be rich and famous. However, Las Vegas is certainly not real life and at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, it doesn’t matter if you’re the star of a box office hit or a no-name chorus member in a Broadway wannabe flop, you will be treated as an A-lister.Shining in the spotlight of the Las Vegas Strip, Planet Hollywood boasts gourmet restaurants, world-class shopping and headline-generating entertainment giving hotel guests a famous experience with everything but a mob of paparazzi.Rebuilt from the ground up in 1998, the former Aladdin now Planet Hollywood has evolved with the times. Once so chic that Elvis and Priscilla Presley got hitched in the hotel, and still hot enough today for celebrities to make regular appearances just for the sake of hanging out.Though infused with a taste of Hollywood culture, the vibe at Planet Hollywood is intended to be welcoming and unpretentious. Who knows, you might even find yourself sitting down to play blackjack next to Jack Black or Poker with Lady Gaga… OK, that was a terrible “Poker Face” joke.Adorned with film memorabilia showcased in custom-designed cabinetry, every element of the hotel takes on a star-studded theme. The 12,800-square-foot lobby at Planet Hollywood has eight chandeliers -- each composed of 66,000 individually hand-strung crystals -- black granite floors, textured glass walls, and large columns that all beckon guests to the check-in desk, where bands of LED lights continuously change color. Since gaming is usually more fun than checking in, an escalator from the lobby (which is below street level) whisks guests up into the 100,000-square-foot casino that is seemingly in constant motion with glowing rectangular light fixtures that dance through a series of party-starting colors. Here you will find a sea of slot machines, 87 game tables, an expansive race and sports book, and a secluded poker room are ready for you to stop by and try your luck.If all of the gaming strikes up an appetite, take your winnings and grab a bite to eat at one of Planet Hollywood’s many restaurants. For those with a big appetite, head to the Spice Market Buffet or choose from the large menu at the 24-hour coffee shop Planet Dailies. Upstairs on the mezzanine level, Strip House redefines the traditional steakhouse with an innovative menu in a sexy, vintage atmosphere, while Koi, a well-recognized L.A. restaurant and lounge, combines the exotic Far Eastern aura with the energy and style of Hollywood. Celebrate L.A. street food with a stop at Pink's Hot Dogs. Their location here is the only spot outside of Hollywood where you can enjoy their famous hot dogs. On the casino level, Earl of Sandwich makes sandwich eating a gourmet treat and the festive cantina Yolos provides a modern tribute to Mexican culture. And not to forget, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has created Gordon Ramsay BurGR – a burger joint that takes the traditional burger to a new level... a Vegas level!Planet Hollywood's Strip entrances are eye-catching with escalators and stairs leading people off the Strip and into the property and there is also a clear entrance to the attached Miracle Mile Shops, which is owned separately from the hotel. Home to more than 170 stores and 15 restaurants shoppers are sure to find something for every discerning taste. However, for those looking to stay on the Planet Hollywood property, there are a lot of other entertainment opportunities within the resort. As expected in Hollywood, Planet Hollywood is packed with mega entertainment including pop icon Britney Spears, who is starring in "Britney: Piece of Me." Staged in The Axis, a state-of-the-art theater, this is one of the largest indoor immersive productions in the world. Additionally the hilarious ventriloquist Jeff Dunham and his troupe of witty sidekicks are headlining Dunham’s latest show, “Not Playing with a Full Deck” in the PH Showroom.Center stage in the casino of Planet Hollywood is a circular hot spot called the Heart Bar, a place to hang out with the beautiful people while sipping on drinks served by cocktail waitresses in black leather go-go attire. Guests can grab their 15 minutes of fame at the Extra Lounge, the new Las Vegas headquarters for the correspondents and crew of television's "Extra;” Located near the hotel's front entrance, this 24-hour bar is the perfect spot to see who's coming and going. For a tranquil retreat from the flurry of shoppers, concert goers and gamblers, the Planet Hollywood Spa by Mandara offers relaxing body therapies from around the world, as well as saunas and steam rooms for your therapeutic pleasure. And for a little sun therapy, the seasonal Pleasure Pool is the place to be. With celebrity-quality treatments and superior services, the spa will truly leave you feeling like a movie star.

I requested a room with a king size bed and paid for that when making reservations. Hollywood Hip was the room I paid for and ended up with a desk agent "upgrade" due to them only having three rooms left which had 2 queen size beds and a tv you couldn't watch when we checked in. Even though our room was paid for well in advance. We had three towels between the two of us for the three nights we were there. There were two wine glasses outside of our door from someone staying in the room prior to us until our final evening there. We were in the casino and my boyfriend was hit up by three hookers trying to give him some company after business hours. They should be kept out of the casino so the customers can enjoy themselves and not worry about being hit up. Made us go to another casino in another hotel. Upon checking out there were three people checking out, one for platinum and whatever just standing there and two checking out a line of at least 25 people. Also the signs could be a lot better showing where the north and south tower rooms are.

We sometimes throw around the term “affordable.” But that doesn’t mean cheap. South Point is less expensive mainly because of its location. South of major hotels like Mandalay Bay, South Point is still on Las Vegas Boulevard, making it just a short car ride away from your favorite attractions. But South Point really makes use of its extra space with its chief attraction, the revered Equestrian Complex.Hosting riding and rodeo events year-round in a 4,600 seat arena with 1,200 climate-controlled horse stalls, the complex is sure to make equine aficionados feel right at home. And if you’re a seriously hardcore rodeo fan, you just might recognize the giant statue of local gaming maverick Benny Binion on horseback situated near the entry--a simple tribute to the man who brought the National Finals Rodeo to Las Vegas.Though the Equestrian Complex is the likely the biggest draw, South Point has plenty of entertainment for those who just think horses are pretty but don’t really want to get close enough to smell them. The hotel is home to a 16-screen movie theater, a fine bingo room and a 64-lane bowling center. And the Showroom at South Point features a variety of singers, bands and comedians. And, like practically every inch of South Point, those spots can all involve some drinks. It could be said that the casino floor is a really just a mall of bars. In fact, we’re actually going to say it. If you tried to get a shot and a beer at everyone one of them you’d probably get kicked out for drunkenly doing something stupid around the fourth one. So don’t try that. Pick a couple and have a fun night. The Malibu Bar and Island Bar serve up tropical spirits, while the Lobby Bar is a focal gathering point in the heart of the casino. The Silverado Lounge offers a classic, Old West ambiance with a wood-paneled bar and overstuffed chairs. By the race and sports book, the Del Mar Lounge is a great spot for a cold beer during the game, and the Grandview Lounge at the southern end of the casino has a "Cheers"-like vibe and often hosts dance bands on weekend nights. And be sure to get some food in you before you drink.Michael's, throughout its 20-year history, has won accolades for the excellent filet mignon, sirloin steak and seafood preparations. Meat lovers looking for a more casual setting with equally succulent cuts can try the Silverado Steakhouse or Primarily Prime Rib. Exotic cravings are filled with the freshly made pastas in Don Vito's and south-of-the-border favorites at Baja Miguel's. The Asian restaurant Zenshin serves the freshest sashimi, nigiri and sushi rolls -- including their Vegas-themed 777, Double Down Salmon and Jackpot Rolls. For quick ways to appease your hunger pangs in between hands of poker and other casino play, try the Coronado Café or the Garden Buffet, which offers six live cooking stations. The Del Mar Deli is a fabulous spot for New York-style soups, sandwiches and decadent desserts. Plus, the beloved Midwestern chain Steak 'n Shake, known for its "steakburgers" and hand-dipped shakes, opened its first Las Vegas location inside the South Point. Between the abundant food and drinks and all that space to let your horse run around and fetch sticks or whatever it is horses do that make them so entertaining, South Point is an equestrian’s dream. But that doesn’t mean it’s not a fun place to get dinner, hang out at a bar and do a little gambling away from the confines of the Strip. Plus it’s affordable. And we all know what that means -- more money for drinks.

Location, location, location. If that's what you're looking for in a hotel, then Harrah's is for you.The hotel is pretty much dead center on the Las Vegas Strip. Walk across the street and see all the attractions at Caesars Palace and The Mirage. Head next door and you’ll be at The LINQ Promenade, which features shops, restaurants and The High Roller, the world’s largest observation wheel. (Hint: If you really like looking at the massive observation wheel, book one of the High Roller view rooms at Harrah's.)Convenience is also key at Harrah's. It’s home to a Las Vegas Monorail station, which means you can easily access all parts of the Strip, and it provides free shuttles to the nearby Rio hotel. With all of the fun going on at Harrah's, chances are you might not want to travel too far from the hotel though.Harrah's is home to Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill, where you can find live country music and dancing to go along with your fried bologna sandwich.Do your best Billy Joel impersonation and sing along with the crowd at the Twins Dueling Pianos show at Piano Bar. Or take the mic yourself for TJ's Karaoke Party. Just be aware that what happens here might end up on You Tube.Head outside and follow the sounds of raucous partying to Carnaval Court where you'll find flair bartenders, live music and lots and lots of creative cocktails. When you work up an appetite, Harrah's has plenty of ways to satisfy it. KGB: Kerry's Gourmet Burgers features the culinary genius of celebrity chef Kerry Simon in a funky Russian atmosphere. That means not only do they have amazing burgers, they have vodka too. And don't even think about leaving without having a Captain Crunch milkshake.Want to impress your date? Take them to Ruth's Chris Steak House, which has unparalleled views of the Strip and signature cuts of USDA Prime steak, broiled in an 1,800-degree oven. The 24-hour Fulton Street Food Hall also offers a ton of options ranging from indulgent bakery-fresh pastries to homemade soups, artisanal sandwiches, made-to-order sushi and seven different types of pizzas.Entertainment is always on the menu at Harrah's as well. Since 2000, magician Mac King has been mystifying as well as cracking up audiences of all ages in the afternoons. If you'd prefer to be keeled over in laughter in the evenings, get tickets to see "Menopause The Musical" (opening Feb. 3, 2015), Improv Comedy Club or Rita Rudner. And you can rock out to "Million Dollar Quartet," the hit Broadway musical about the night Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley performed together at Sun Records Studio. No Vegas resort would be complete without a casino and Harrah's has 87,000 square feet of gaming fun. You'll find video poker, slots, table games and more. Before you gamble, just be sure to find "The Greenbacks" and take a photo with them for good luck. Trust us, you can't miss the statue of gaudily-dressed tourists Winnie and Buck along with their dog Chip. They're dripping in all the cash they just won and hopefully you will be too.
