Experience the fun and excitement of Brazil at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Located just minutes west of the famed Las Vegas Strip, on Flamingo Road, it's a perfect location if you want to be close to all the action and major attractions in Las Vegas. Plus, the Rio itself comes packed with shops, theaters, bars and restaurants. The hotel has a vibrant atmosphere with brightly colored carpeting, signage and décor that will make it seem as if you've arrived in the middle Carnival season. The Rio is known for hosting the main event in the prestigious World Series of Poker annually. Thus, gaming takes precedence on the sprawling casino floor, which has 1,200 slot machines and 80 different table games. The two top crowd-pleasers at the resort, however, are the buffets. The Carnival World Buffet has been winning awards and acclaim since the Rio opened in 1990. This massive spread features more than 300 dishes prepared fresh daily. And seafood lovers are sure to enjoy the catch at the Village Seafood Buffet. Imagine loading your plate with unlimited lobster, crab legs, shrimp, sushi and more! Both of these buffets are usually packed with patrons, but don't lose heart if you see a line. Service is quick as well as friendly, so you'll be surprised at how short the wait time really is.Fine meals can be had at the Rio as well. Tough, tattooed Philadelphia chef Steve Martorano is at the helm of Martorano's, where rich, Italian-American favorites are served in excess. Or indulge in a succulent steak and one of the most striking views of Las Vegas at VooDoo Steak and Rooftop Nightclub, situated on the 50th and 51st floors of the resort's Masquerade Tower. Other delights include the dry-aged Angus beef at the All-American Bar & Grille, the authentic Vietnamese cuisine at Pho Da Nang, the fresh oysters at Buzio's Seafood Restaurant and the one-of-a-kind dim sum menu at KJ Dim Sum & Seafood Chinese Restaurant. Hash House A Go Go has creatively prepared, oversized portions -- which include everything from breakfast and brunch to dinner items. You can grab a quick meal at the BK Whopper Bar or the Sports Deli, which situated near the six giant screens in the busy race and sports book.In addition, the entertainment alternatives are excellent. Penn & Teller, the quirky and frequently gruesome magic duo, have their own theater at the Rio, as do the hunky Chippendales dancers. The Crown Theater hosts an array of acts, including "MJ Live," a tribute to Michael Jackson starring impersonator Michael Firestone, comedian Eddie Griffin and The Rat Pack Is Back, which brings the sounds of the legendary performers back to life. The seductive topless revue "X Rocks" showcases sexy choreography set to heart-pounding rock songs. For a spirited evening, swing by the sexy Flirt Lounge in the lobby of the Chippendales Theatre or the high-tech I-Bar, where you can order drinks from a touch-screen computer built into your tabletop.A thrilling zip ride, the VooDoo Zip Line adds excitement to any visit. Guests can to soar for more than 800 feet from the VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub in the hotel's Masquerade Tower to the Ipanema Tower. The 70-second journey boasts stunning 360-degree views of the Las Vegas Strip.Accommodations at the Rio range from the spacious 600-square-foot standard suites to the opulent, one-bedroom Masquerade suites, boasting 1,600 square feet and a 180-degree view of the city. All of the suites include stylish furnishings, a large flat-screen TV, a refrigerator, a hair dryer, an iron and ironing board, and a complimentary in-room safe. For sun and relaxation, spend an afternoon at the pool complex with golden sand areas and cascading waterfalls. Plenty of shops -- including The Wine Cellar & Tasting Room, Fashion 101 and a Harley-Davidson store -- are located throughout the premises. Pampering treatments are offered at the Rio Spa & Salon to refresh your mind and body. And the resort provides shuttle service to and from Harrah's.An eye-popping place to stay, guests at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino will enjoy superior service, comfort and value just a short distance from the Strip.

Sail away to the Caribbean in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. Treasure Island (also known by its hipper initials as "the TI") is something of a tropical island getaway -- and it's set along a beautiful manmade cove. You can celebrate the spirit of the high seas as well as the legacy of pirates here. The décor is reminiscent of the lively markets of colonial times. Instead of a snooze on a hammock, guests rest their weary heads on the resort's exclusive Elite Sensational pillow-top beds in the 2,885 rooms and suites, all are which are outfitted with modern-day amenities.Like the tropics, lazy days at Treasure Island are devoted to sun, swaying palm trees and island foods. Relax on the beach-like pool deck (complete with a 25-person hot tub!) and while away a few hours in Kahunaville Tropical Restaurant. You can have a bite of something exotic, like the Calypso calamari, or get an island-infused drink prepared by a flair bartender at the "Party Bar."The hub of the activity at the resort occurs near the entrance from Las Vegas Boulevard, where you will discover several rollicking bars, restaurants and shops. Things often get wild and crazy in Gilley's Saloon, Dance Hall & Bar-B-Q. There are multiple bars within a hangar-like atmosphere. Patrons can drink, watch bikini bull riding contests, dance and listen to live bands. The restaurant, which specializes in barbecue cooking, runs along the front of Treasure Island and sports glass windows looking onto the Strip.Infamous in Mexico for its party scene -- and now at Treasure Island -- is Señor Frog's. Along with great south-of-the-border food, it has a spring break-style vibe. Antics such as shots being poured into your mouth or dancing on tabletops are highly encouraged...but there's an outside balcony for those who just want to chill out, too..For more traditionally staged entertainment, get tickets to "Mystère" -- which is anything but traditional. This imaginative production is packed with over-the-top props and daring feats of human strength and agility. "Mystère" is the longest running permanent Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas.Several bars are spread throughout the premises including the upscale Breeze Bar and the outdoor Margarita Bar. Need a quick bite? Choose from a variety of fast-served favorites, such as slices of pizza at Pizzeria Francesco's, delicious hot dogs at Little Richie's Chicago-Style Beef and Dogs or pastries and coffee at Starbucks. The Coffee Shop and The Buffet at TI are two more wonderful options for speedy, cooked meals morning, noon or night. In addition, you can sit down to a fine, slower-paced meal at Phil's Italian Steakhouse. Fennel-crusted halibut, spinach and ricotta-stuffed free-range chicken breast  and other American fare with Italian twists are created in its Tuscan wood-fired kitchen.A sanctuary for the senses, Oleksandra Spa & Salon is a place that offers peace and profound relaxation. Perched on the third floor, the menu boasts an array of relaxing and revitalizing treatments from around the world, like Swedish, ayurvedic and Lomi Lomi massages.Interested in shopping? You'll find something for everyone -- from jewelry and souvenirs to perfume and apparel. Don't miss the unique items sold at the Couture, TI Bling Co. and Adixion stores. A pedestrian bridge leading to the Fashion Show mall, one of the city's most prestigious shopping venues, is also just steps away. Plus, construction has started on a new three-story, 40,000-square-foot retail center on the northeast corner of the property opposite the Fashion Show Mall. The new retail center is scheduled to open in fall 2014.Perfect for swashbucklers and buccaneers -- or anyone interested in a fun and affordable Vegas visit -- Treasure Island has so many entertainment, dining, shopping and gaming options, along with plush accommodations, you'll think it's all been pillaged and plundered!
