Experience the fun and excitement of Brazil at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Located just minutes west of the famed Las Vegas Strip, on Flamingo Road, it's a perfect location if you want to be close to all the action and major attractions in Las Vegas. Plus, the Rio itself comes packed with shops, theaters, bars and restaurants. The hotel has a vibrant atmosphere with brightly colored carpeting, signage and décor that will make it seem as if you've arrived in the middle Carnival season. The Rio is known for hosting the main event in the prestigious World Series of Poker annually. Thus, gaming takes precedence on the sprawling casino floor, which has 1,200 slot machines and 80 different table games. The two top crowd-pleasers at the resort, however, are the buffets. The Carnival World Buffet has been winning awards and acclaim since the Rio opened in 1990. This massive spread features more than 300 dishes prepared fresh daily. And seafood lovers are sure to enjoy the catch at the Village Seafood Buffet. Imagine loading your plate with unlimited lobster, crab legs, shrimp, sushi and more! Both of these buffets are usually packed with patrons, but don't lose heart if you see a line. Service is quick as well as friendly, so you'll be surprised at how short the wait time really is.Fine meals can be had at the Rio as well. Tough, tattooed Philadelphia chef Steve Martorano is at the helm of Martorano's, where rich, Italian-American favorites are served in excess. Or indulge in a succulent steak and one of the most striking views of Las Vegas at VooDoo Steak and Rooftop Nightclub, situated on the 50th and 51st floors of the resort's Masquerade Tower. Other delights include the dry-aged Angus beef at the All-American Bar & Grille, the authentic Vietnamese cuisine at Pho Da Nang, the fresh oysters at Buzio's Seafood Restaurant and the one-of-a-kind dim sum menu at KJ Dim Sum & Seafood Chinese Restaurant. Hash House A Go Go has creatively prepared, oversized portions -- which include everything from breakfast and brunch to dinner items. You can grab a quick meal at the BK Whopper Bar or the Sports Deli, which situated near the six giant screens in the busy race and sports book.In addition, the entertainment alternatives are excellent. Penn & Teller, the quirky and frequently gruesome magic duo, have their own theater at the Rio, as do the hunky Chippendales dancers. The Crown Theater hosts an array of acts, including "MJ Live," a tribute to Michael Jackson starring impersonator Michael Firestone and the seductive topless revue "X Rocks". It showcases sexy choreography set to heart-pounding rock songs along with the comedy madness of Chris Randall (aka Scandal). For a spirited evening, swing by the sexy Flirt Lounge in the lobby of the Chippendales Theatre or the high-tech I-Bar, where you can order drinks from a touch-screen computer built into your tabletop.Accommodations at the Rio range from the spacious 600-square-foot standard suites to the opulent, one-bedroom Masquerade suites, boasting 1,600 square feet and a 180-degree view of the city. All of the suites include stylish furnishings, a large flat-screen TV, a refrigerator, a hair dryer, an iron and ironing board, and a complimentary in-room safe. For sun and relaxation, spend an afternoon at the pool complex with golden sand areas and cascading waterfalls. Plenty of shops -- including The Wine Cellar & Tasting Room, Fashion 101 and a Harley-Davidson store -- are located throughout the premises. Pampering treatments are offered at the Rio Spa & Salon to refresh your mind and body. And the resort provides shuttle service to and from Harrah's.In spring 2014 a thrilling new zip ride, the VooDoo Zip Line, will open. Guests will be able to soar for more than 800 feet from the VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub in the hotel's Masquerade Tower to the Ipanema Tower. The 70-second journey will boast stunning 360-degree views of the Las Vegas Strip. An eye-popping place to stay, guests at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino will enjoy superior service, comfort and value just a short distance from the Strip.-- By Renée LiButti

Was a really neat place
PostedMay 9, 2013
Overall was very happy with our stay. Nice big room and plenty of food choices to eat at.
As of march 2013 they now charge an 18.00 + tax resort fee. But they dont tell you about it until your checking out and hit you with it then. Its not that they now charge a resort fee, it was how they did it. Anywhere else we've stayed, they charged it at check in.
Other than that, we had a great stay.

If you're looking for a Vegas resort with a prime location at the center of the Strip and very affordable prices, a good place to keep at the top of your mind is The Quad Resort & Casino. Right now, it's in the final phases of exterior and interior refurbishment to modernize property. Newly completed elements include the renovated porte cochere, lobby, casino floor and Catalyst Bar. The Quad is also now connected to The Linq, an outdoor entertainment, shopping and dining district that houses the High Roller observation wheel. O'Sheas Casino has also debuted -- with three bars, a beer garden, 11 table games, 15 video poker machines and six beer pong tables. Renovations at The Quad are continuing in the middle section of the casino floor, the spa and at the pool. The Quad is an always-bustling, mid-sized property situated within walking distance from several of the city's most famous resorts -- including Caesars Palace, The Mirage, Bellagio, The Venetian and The Palazzo. The Quad also boasts a Las Vegas Monorail stop, which means you'll have easy access to most of the hotels up and down South Las Vegas Boulevard.Catering to visitors of all ages and from all walks of life, The Quad is not a stuffy, elite-style resort. The amenities are spread throughout the first five floors. The ground floor houses the action-packed casino. It tends to be crowded around the clock. One of focal points in the casino is the Dealertainers pit. You can sit down at blackjack tables where celebrity impersonators dressed as Beyoncé, Elvis, Pink and many more deal the cards. Often, they have to excuse themselves to belt out one of their character's hits from the elevated stage.Take the escalator to the second floor and you'll discover additional entertainment options. Jeff Civillico does comedy juggling and other stunts in the afternoon. You can also see the drag extravaganza "Divas Las Vegas" starring Frank Marino in the evening. Or delight in the drumming mayhem of Recycled Percussion, a group that pounds away on everything from buckets and trash cans to car parts and even their bodies. The place to drink at the resort is Fat Tuesday, where you can order a variety of frozen daiquiris, perfect to cool you down during the hot summer months. Beers and cocktails of all kinds are available in the casino at the Catalyst bar. Or for a sophisticated aperitif head to the fifth floor's Nomiya Lounge. If history is more your thing, check out The Auto Collections. More than 250 classic or historically significant vehicles are being displayed on the fifth floor of the hotel's self-parking garage -- some of which are for sale.?The Quad is home to several great dining options. Chef Guy Fieri, of Food Network's top-rated show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," has opened his first Las Vegas restaurant -- called Guy Fieri's Kitchen & Bar -- at the north entrance of the resort. South-of-the-border cuisine is offered in the shack-style Quesadilla. The resort has a Hash House A Go Go. The chain restaurant is known for its delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner comfort foods -- which come in oversized portions. Or enjoy a quick bite at the 24-hour Ginseng 3, which features Japanese, Chinese and Korean items.Watch the big games on one of the 12 large screens in the spacious sports book on the third floor. Horse racing fans will be impressed by the stadium-style seating, complete with 230 individual monitors.Work up a sweat in the fitness center. You can get a manicure in The Salon at The Quad (the spa is currently closed for renovation).Clean and comfortable, The Quad's towers feature a variety of accommodations ranging from classic rooms with all the basics to deluxe "luv tub" rooms that have spa tubs thrown into the mix. Plus, pet-loving guests are welcome to bring their four-legged friends (weighing less than 50 pounds) to lodge in the special PetStay rooms. For those wanting to tie the knot, the Silver Sky Chapel features two fine venues: the signature Skyline Chapel and the Southwestern Chapel with a desert motif. The resort has a stretch of souvenir stores located near the room elevators as well. Shops include Amparo, Whiskey Run, Gifts to Go and Relaxation Palace. The Quad is a full-service resort offering value-oriented accommodations. Whether you are coming to party with a group of friends, bringing your family for a vacation or attending a conference, the hotel is sure to suit you.-- By Renée LiButtiNOTE: Due to construction at The Quad, guests may may encounter temporary inconveniences, construction walls and some noise during daytime hours. The Quad's spa and pool are currently closed for remodeling. Guests can use the Beach Club pool at Flamingo Las Vegas or the pools at Paris Las Vegas and the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

Great Value

We got in the the recent double love tub room offer. Our check in was fast and easy and the counter person we dealt with was friendly and informative. Being card holders for the location we didnt have to pay the early check in fee. The person that checked us in knew his job and was very attentive to us. He was able to place us in a room farthest from the reconstuction of the casino going on. Our room was clean and pleasant. Its showing its age , but then thats why they are remodeling. All in all we had a great time and a lot of fun. Hope to stay in a "double love tub" room again when we visit vegas again. Looking forward to seeing how the facility looks after it debuts as the "The Quad".
